Doudou

Our Little Sunbeam

2011 — 2026

Forever part of our family.

Their Story

The life they lived.

Doudou

Doudou came home on a cold January morning, small enough to fit in a coat pocket and certain enough to believe the whole house belonged to him.

For fifteen years he kept the same quiet rituals — the slow shuffle to the front door, the heavy sigh before sleep, the sunny patch on the floor he guarded like treasure. He asked for very little and gave back everything.

He was there for the ordinary days, which is another way of saying he was there for the best days. The mornings were gentler because he was in them.

Life Timeline

The years we shared.

2011

Home

The year a small ball of fur walked in and never once considered leaving.

2013

First summer

Long afternoons in the park — he never ran far, but he never wanted to leave.

2017

The move

A new city, a new house. He claimed the sunniest corner within the hour.

2021

Golden years

Slower walks, longer naps. The same soft eyes, watching over everything.

2026

Forever

He left the way he lived — quietly, gently, surrounded by love.

Favorite Moments

The little things.

01

The morning routine

Coffee, then the door, then the garden. Some things never changed.

02

The beach days

He never chased the waves. He preferred to stand at the edge, watching, like he understood something we didn't.

03

The last summer

Sunlight on the floor, and Doudou in the middle of it — exactly where he belonged.

A Letter To Them

A letter to Doudou

We still put the bowl down in the same spot, just for a second, before we remember.

Thank you for the quiet mornings, and for choosing us. You were never just a dog — you were the softest part of every day.

We'll keep your spot by the window warm.

Forever, your family
